Car Insurance for Women Funny Video

I recently posted about how car insurance for ladies can actually be cheaper, because in spite of the fact that many jokes are made about how women are terrible drivers, the car insurance companies know better.

Men engage in riskier and often stupider behavior than women, as a general rule, and women are more likely to have the role of child rearing. Both men and women drive more safely when they have children in the car, but women are much more likely to have children in the car.

I kept thinking about that and I kept digging and digging to find a video that illustrates the point. I finally found this great video on YouTube that shows how men can be pretty stupid, even when driving.

I had to laugh when I saw the tagline of the car insurance company: Why we insure women only.I just hope the guys don't get their panties all in a bunch over this. I hope you enjoyed this funny car insurance for women video.

Statistics show that women are less likely to be involved in an auto accident than men. An AP report from January 2007 reported on the results of a Carnegie Melon University study on US driving risks. According to the study men are 77% more likely to die in a traffic accident than women when comparing miles driven by each.

Some interesting statistics are:

  • New England is actually the safest driving region.

  • Children properly restrained in a car seat, during rush hour, is the safest passenger

  • A cautious 82 year old woman is more likely to die in a traffic accident than a risk taking 16 year old boy.

The risk of issues such as broken ribs puncturing a vital organ, and increased risk of stroke or heart attack skews the results on that last statistic. Teenagers tend to be a bit more resilient than senior citizens. It is not an indicator that reckless driving is safer than cautious driving. An official from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety said that the elderly are more likely to die as the result of an accident.

This is just one of many studies that indicate that women are generally safer drivers than men. For one thing, men tend to participate more in risky behaviors such as driving while intoxicated, driving at high speeds, and general risk taking while driving. Other factors can play into driving safety.

Motorcycles are less safe by their very nature in addition to the fact that those who ride them are more likely to be a risk taking personality type. Mini vans are generally safer. Also, the people who drive mini-vans tend to be dull, safe personalities that simply don't use unsafe driving practices.

This could also be that ladies with children are often the kind of person that would drive a minivan. Minivan drivers are less likely to be the aggressive driving type of personality. Women value the lives of their children, understandably so, and as a result take that into consideration while driving on the road. Minivans also tend to have a safer design than some other types of vehicles.

Car insurance companies are well aware of such statistics, and often fund such studies themselves. As a result car insurance for ladies is often much less expensive than car insurance for men. This isn't sexism. It is a hard, cold statistical analysis that shows that women are less of a risk to insure than men, and the rates are accordingly lower.

When looking for cheap car insurance for ladies it is important to consider many factors. Your past driving record is a factor, of course in determining what kind of rate you should expect. Drivers with accidents and points on their license will be considered as a higher risk to insure and the result will be a higher premium.

The type of car that you drive will also be a factor in finding cheap car insurance for ladies. Not only do certain kinds of cars match up with different personality types that will exhibit different risk factors, but the car itself is most likely covered by the insurance. That means that your premium will be based on the assessed risk of the vehicle itself.

Factors that determine the insurance rate for your car include the risk of theft of your vehicle. This includes the areas where you live and work, and the make and model of car you drive. It's long been known that popular cars such as the Honda Accord and Toyota Camry are one of the most commonly stolen cars.

Cars in more secure neighborhoods, and cars with anti-theft systems installed will lower your car insurance rates. Mileage is also a factor. The higher your mileage, the lower the value of the car. In general, the car insurance company needs to consider how much they will have to pay for the total value of your car when it considers the cost of your premium.

Overall, it should be easy to find cheap car insurance for ladies, as long as you have a clean driving record, and a car that is not a big risk to replace for it's total value.
